The International Conference on Art Design and Public Art (ADPA 2026) will be held grandly in Changchun, a cultural hub in Northeast China. This conference focuses on the deep integration of art and design innovation with public art practice, committed to building an open, diverse, and socially responsible international academic exchange platform, gathering experts and scholars, designers, artists, curators, government managers, and community representatives in the fields of art and design, public art, urban planning, landscape architecture, sociology, cultural policy, and community building. The conference will conduct in-depth discussions on cutting-edge topics such as art intervention and environmental beautification in urban public spaces, the role of public art in shaping urban image and expressing regional culture, community renewal and public participation driven by art design, interactive and technology-based public art installations, rural public art and revitalization practices, sustainability and safety management of public art, accessible design and inclusive public space creation, the application of art design in urban signage and public facility optimization, public art policy formulation and cross departmental collaboration mechanisms, and innovative expression of art intervention in social issues such as ecology, memory, and identity. Through various forms such as keynote speeches, thematic forums, paper presentations, public art case exhibitions, field visits, and workshops, we aim to promote art and design beyond the studio, integrate into public life, and serve social welfare. ADPA 2026 emphasizes the core concept of "design for the people, art for people, and art education for the city", advocating that art design and public art become important forces connecting people and cities, stimulating community vitality, and enhancing public cultural quality. The high-quality papers accepted by the conference will be recommended for publication in relevant international journals indexed by A&HCI, SSCI, or Scopus to enhance academic influence.
